Dachshund On Google Home Page

Google image for April 14, 2012

Odds are pretty good that it will never happen again, so be sure to head over to Google today, where a disabled Dachshund is featured in a photograph on the home page.  Google is celebrating the 100th birthday of French photographer and pioneer photojournalist Robert Doisneau, 14 April 1912 – 1 April 1994.

Doisneau is renowned for this 1950 image Le baiser de l'hôtel de ville (Kiss by the Town Hall).

But ask any Dachshundist, and you'll find this wonderful 1977 image to be a favorite:  Un chien à roulettes (A dog on wheels).

Thanks to our friend 'impromptublogger' for writing in about the Google image!

I LOVE that photo! It was my wallpaper for months.

While in France a year ago we toured a castle and the works of
Doisneau were displayed. Of course THAT one was my favorite :)
